The curative medicine service

The curative medicine service of the Field Services Clinic offers client consultations for a wide variety of medical problems. The curative medicine Service team carries out over 3 000 visits each year to about 230 farmers in the Saint-Hyacinthe area. The team is made up of professors and clinicians well known for their experience in their fields of practice, in both the dairy cow and beef cattle.

Infectious, allergic and cancerous diseases

Locomotor problems
Respiratory problems
Gastro-intestinal problems (diarrhea, indigestion, abomasum problems, etc.)
Urinary and kidney problems

The curative medicine Service can also sedate difficult animals with the use of a tranquilizer gun.

We can also fill out reports for insurance companies, if needed.

The curative medicine Service uses high performance diagnostic tools allowing for many different types of assessments:

Tracheal and Broncho alveolar wash
Thoracic, abdominal and cardiac ultrasound
Ultrasound guided digestive biopsies
Spinal taps
Easy access to the diagnostics Service (hematology, biochemistry, cytology, bacteriology, molecular biology, virology, parasitology, serology, etc.)
