The Quebec Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPAQ) offers technical assistance to northern communities through this program for the protection of dogs against rabies in 24 agreement communities (14 Inuit communities in Nunavik, 9 Cree communities in James Bay and 1 Naskapi community in Kawawachikamach).
The implementation agreement of the Technical Assistance Program for the Protection of Dogs against Rabies in Northern Communities binds together the MAPAQ and the Faculté de médecine vétérinaire through its medical center (CHUV).
