Small Animal Surgery Service

The surgery service of the small animal hospital is made up of surgery professors certified by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons as well as experienced clinicians assisted by residents and interns as well as many animal health technicians.

The surgery service works closely with the anesthesiology, medical imaging, internal medicine and the emergency and critical care services to offer a complete list of procedures from the simplest to the most complex.

High quality diagnostic equipment such as ultrasounds, x-rays, endoscopy, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT-Scan) and scintigraphy, allows our surgical team to proceed to in-depth preoperative exams. No matter what the situation, our team is always available to discuss the different options available and to help you make the best decision possible for you and your animal.

Soft tissue surgery, orthopedics and neurosurgery are most frequently performed by our surgical team. Our hospital is also equipped to perform fluoroscopic guided procedures and less invasive procedure such as arthroscopy and laparoscopy, when possible, to minimise the risks for the patient and reduce recovery time.
